Wow! 50 years since graduating is just ridiculous! How is that possible! I'm sure we all feel that way!
i attended UBC in education, married John, taught for 7 years and headed home to have our family! 2 great kids that we still adore!
We did move back east for 8 years naturally work related, and found our way home in 1986. I worked in sales of wholesale logoed products, and retired just last September.
Over the years we have done lots of travelling, John has a travel agency. More recently our daughter, Kristi and her husband Trevor had a little boy, and 9 days later, our son Jason and his wife Hatsumi had a little girl. Our first grand children and we are over the moon! Our time is happily filled with great friends who keep us biking and traveling! We love to garden and cook, read and walk. I feel so blessed with family and friends. I am looking forward to catching up with everyone!
Most vivid memory is Barbie Watt frantically screaming something to me about Kennedy. I was walking down from our Latin class and she ran all the way up to the high school to deliver the shocking news. What a day that was! I love to recall every basketball game, every pep club meeting, every sock hop, every pep rally, every home economics class with Miss Yurick (who gave me my first general detention for...talking), every moment in Mr. Harry Locke's class, who inspired us and took us to UBC for poetry and to the opera! ...Madame Butterfly WOW! I loved track and field and the accompanying track meets! I loved school dances, despite worrying about just about everything! I was lucky because I loved school and the friends we got to meet. Always close to my Hollyburn roots!
