Traveled to Australia with friends and then on to Europe where I met my wife, Cheryl. We married in 1973 and have been married for 42 years. I went into track racing the 5,000, 10,000 and marathon internationally representing Canada. Later I ran the marathon for Canada in the 1976 Olympics in Montreal. I won a bronze medal in the Pan American Games in Mexico City in 1975. I went from being a Postie to a bus Driver for 15 years and then finished by being an owner operator for a trucking company for 17 years. We moved from White Rock to Maple Ridge, to the Island and then to the Cariboo, where we now reside in 100 Mile House area. I have six grandchildren and hope to continue traveling around the world and stay running forever.
