Dale Bainbridge (Costello, Kerr).I reconnected with Dale when she came to the Cariboo to teach at Lac La Hache.  Her daugher Leah was born in Lac La Hache.  I saw her a few times a year and she taught at Lac La Hache and I think in 100 Mile house.  She met John Kerr after she and George divorced and she eventully moved to his ranch in the Tatlyoko Valley.  She was the teacher and princkpal of Tatla Lake School and she made a huge impact on the community.  She and John were insturmental in getting internet to the Chilcotin.  Dale has a daughter Leah who is the owner of "Connecting People and Ideas" in West Vancouver.  Dale passed away in I think 2010 from breast cancer.  She has a scholarship in her name from the Tatla Lake School.  She was an amazing teacher and friend.  Lynda Blackstock( Egleston) I found her obituary and it was 2008 that Dale passed away.

I remember I was Dale's 'escort' when the Queen (Lizzie) opened up the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in 1964?

Anyway, we were both dressed for the part. She was to step forward and present Liz with a bouquet of flowers. I was supposed to stand one pace behind and to her side, stepping forward as she did. She would curtsy; I would bow. We got that much right, but I was on her wrong side, obstructing her path to the queen, so I stepped out of the way, and not knowing what to do, put out my arm to shake Phillip's hand. With only a moment's delay, he did so, and only later I found out this was very, very, untoward.
